Approach AI literacy in your organisation through the change management lens: proactively address any concerns or resistance to AI, communicate the “why”, and engage senior management.

There’s no need to obtain a certificate to prove AI literacy training has been completed. Nonetheless, documenting the training, including content, dates, and participant lists, is a valuable practice for internal tracking and demonstrating due diligence.

SMEs can rely on European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), the one-stop shops assisting companies and public administration in addressing digital challenges. Some of them focus on specific sectors, and many have AI focus.

Your organisation may develop AI Literacy training internally or/and use external providers and content.

AI literacy training doesn’t require a dedicated role. It can be a collaborative effort, with HR designing and delivering programs, technical departments advising on relevant content, and business units ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

If you employees “only use chatGPT to write marketing materials or translating texts”, it is in your best interests to educate them about risks and controls they can implement.
